bordeaux

With these 60 appellations, the Bordeaux region represents the largest AOC vineyard in France. The Bordeaux vineyard extends at altitudes of between 15 and 120 m on the slopes and terraces that border the Gironde estuary and the banks of the Garonne and Dordogne rivers.
Close to the Atlantic Ocean, the vineyards of Bordeaux are subject to a temperate oceanic climate, mild and humid.
The nearby Landes forest mitigates the oceanic influence and protects the vineyards from the winds.

Château Rouquette

Domaine de la Rouquette is one of the oldest châteaux and vineyards in Bordeaux.

Surrounded by the forest, Château Rouquette is very concerned about the fauna and flora in the vineyards, which is why Christophe has planted many different trees around the vines to welcome birds and insects.
