Domaine de Borgnat is situated in Escolives Sainte Camille, a small village in the heart of the AOC of Bourgogne Coulange La Vineuse, 20km south west of Chablis.
The Wines of the Domaine were very popular in the 17th century with King Henry IV of France and His grandson king Louis XIV (Sun King). Since 1884, the Borgnat family have managed the property, today Benjamin Borgnat, 8th generation, and his wife Eglantine continue the family’s viticultural traditions.
The Wines are cellared in the Chateau d’Escolives in a 700 m2 vaulted cellar. The vineyards are covered in grass and the yields are restricted to 40 Hl/Ha.
The wines from Domaines Borgnat are typical of the terroir resulting from a regular and constant work in the vines and a respectful vinification.
